Publishng: The Team
It’s with great pride and happiness that we come to the time to finally announce the team who will be working on our Publishng project. I thought a lot about who would be on the team, and how we would all contribute. I also thought hard about how to announce who was contributing to this project. In the end, it came down to transparency. I have not emailed anyone about this. I have not interviewed the contributors. Instead, I have decided to announce this all publicly, let everyone know who and why I picked the team I did, and let the details play our in the public arena. This is all part of the process.
In addition to contributing brain power and some hard work to this project, each of the contributors will be involved in planning, conceptualizing, and executing the plans that we collectively come up with. Every Thursday, for our regular Publishng feature, contributors will share posting responsibilities with myself in letting everyone know how the project is moving along from various points of view.
While I have highlighted why I chose certain people for the team, these are simply areas of focus, all contributors are encouraged to delve into areas in which they feel they are most effective.
So, without further ado, the Dream Team:
Laura Dawson: Laura is the go-to source for information on metadata, XML, and workflow. She is a veritable fountain of publishing industry knowledge.
Ami Greko: Ami has an extensive background in marketing & PR in both the digital space and print media. Her publishing know-how combined with her tech-bent will be essential to our strategy and concept.
